Mapping Session: Fern up Taylor's Springs

first test foray into continuing the CalFire mapping of the Canyon

Plan

We planned on mapping Lisa's house, and perhaps John's across the street, to be sure we knew what we were doing

Reality

We managed, after realizing Ari didn't show us how to actually _start_ the thing, to get everything working over s super yummy lunch. Then we 'pushed down' new corrective mapping of Fern up to the Taylor Spring tanks and added those.

Feeling flush with success we then mapped the Fern/Redwood fire hydrant, took some pictures and gathered the attention of a mess of kids who we hope we can draft into this program. Then we had to go clean up for Bill's party, because of course Party.

Aftermath

Casey took the equipment home and did some sleuthing. He's working on a way to ( finally ) get the Canyon Map Joan and Don cooked up into this system. In addition he's re-organizing the stored record to make it easier to know where to start, next time. He's due to send the result of this re-org to Ari to see if it fits the upstream workflow. It's best to get this down before committing the data gathering to this new format.
