  • rest of co: 14%

  • age related disease, low or fixed income, low mobility all add up on the southcoast. statistically a mirror of EPA.
    • heat waves will hurt more elder members of communities.
  • percent of housholds with no aged > 14 speaking english is about 10%.
  • poverty rate is 33%, county average is 19.5%, State average is 39.5%

new stat: Students are 15% of the population in SMC, but visit local businesses more thatn 50% of the population
