MRC
- 3 or more years ago there was a local debate about CERT vrs Medical Reserve Corps ( MRC )
- but now there is funding for the MRC ( general applause )
- Volunteer organization of medical professionals
- SMC Health Department is involved as well.
- Boot up meeting later in year
Regional Communications
- there is now a second fiber link over the hill; somewhere along 84.
- these may fail so remember to brush up on Packet Radio
- HMB EOC
  - two radios ( somewhere )
  - a generator on site
  - procedural issues with access during trouble
- good walkit talkie for regular folks so sez the Montara area CERT
  - Midland GTX-1000 note: reports of poor battery life
