We did a little dismantling and antennae testing, and took many notes on needed connectors to do more on another visit. Ranch Road Repeater Inspection
There is an effort afoot to repair some of the equipment up on Ranch Road. Currently there are a couple systems up there, and a lot of debris from earlier efforts & practices.
One of the questions involves a 70CM repeater system build out by John Kileen. This system at one point provided good coms up and down the canyon, but something has happened up the big Fir (?) hosting the related antennas.
Another question is can we get better 'reach out' by returning the 2M system ( BU UP ) to the tree - it's currently on a radio tower put up after something damaged items on the tree.
