CaseyD met with CaseyS from the RCD at Shingles (316 Madrone.)

a number of interesting and unknown points on the Grant came up.

# the CalFire grants are for a minimum of $750K
# they are intended for regional solutions, and it's not clear that the Butano Canyon _itself_ is a region.
# so for a regional solution the Canyon should focus on
## Evac plans, "Fire Emergency Access and Forest Resiliency projects"
### ladder fuel reduction
### forestry insight on road stability and stump removal


With respect to our Neighbors to the South the RCD's executive staff asks: 
* "Why form another Fire Council, the folks to the south don't have enough of an involved population to support it, and you Butano folks are already spread thin." 
* use RCD, or Fire Safe San Mateo County ( basically the RCD ) as the pivot point for granting
* perhaps a South Coast Advisory Council

CaseyD agreed to take these points to the September 21st meeting.
